2011 Philadelphia Election Results
Hi. I was looking over the election results for the 2011 Philadelphia elections this morning at http://phillyelectionresults.com and was saddened by how plain the site was. All the important information is there, but it's difficult to instantly see who won or how many people voted. I thought I would show what it could be like if a few simple stesp were taken to improve it. Below is a proof of concept for a hopefully better way to visualize the results of the election.
Election Quick Stats
Mayor of Philadelphia
The mayor is elected to a four-year term and may serve only two consecutive terms. For more, see the Committee of 70's website.
Sheriff
The Sheriff’s office primarily operates to support the court system by delivering eviction notices after a mortgage foreclosure or a landlord/tenant dispute, and conducting public auctions, called Sheriff Sales, on properties that are foreclosed, judicially seized, or delinquent on taxes. For more, see the Committee of 70's website.
Council At Large
The top seven vote-getters will become at-large Council members for the next four years. For more, see the Committee of 70's website.
